Our Project

Springs Preserve Butterfly Habitat

Our construction team has the distinction of building the first USDA approved butterfly habitat in Nevada. The facility is another addition to the Las Vegas Springs Preserve. Thousands of Las Vegas Springs Preserve visitors will be able to walk through the unique habitat and witness the fascinating dance between free-flying butterflies and the plants that sustain them. The crushed granite paths of the Garden area were replaced with a paver walking path to lead to the habitat, reducing the care and maintenance of the property. This project also consisted of building a 30'x60' galvanized steel framed structure covered with specialty wire mesh for the safe keeping of the butterflies. There is open ventilation for plants and butterflies to live in the ambient atmosphere. Our team installed a vestibule with air curtains for all visitors to pass through upon entry and exit and paid special attention to ensure every corner was sealed on the structure per strict USDA guidelines. These steps help keep the butterflies in their lush and protected habitat.
